Start with your metro line

Choose your starting line in the planner, then search for your station. Riyadh’s six lines are Blue (1), Red (2), Orange (3), Yellow (4), Green (5) and Purple (6). The colour identifies the line; the direction shown on the platform tells you which train to board.

Choose the kind of outing you want

For architecture and a coffee stop, try KAFD and the Al Wadi area. For history, consider the National Museum. For traditional shops and a market wander, consider Souq Al Zal. Around King Fahad Library, plan a quieter visit to the exterior and surrounding park. These are suggestions to compare, not a promise that every entrance is next to a station.

Read the route in three steps

The planner shows where to board, where to change lines and where to get off. Expand a route leg to see intermediate stations. A direct journey uses one line; a transfer means switching to a different line at an interchange. Compare stop counts and transfers before picking your outing.

Plan the walk and the return

Train stops do not include the walk to your destination. Open the walking directions and check the station exit, crossings and entrance. The one-, three- and five-hour choices refer to time at the destination, excluding travel. Confirm current service, fares and the return journey with Darb before leaving.

Check before you go

Opening hours, entry requirements and availability can change. Use these sources to confirm your visit.
