A good walking outing does not need a long journey between neighbourhoods. Choose a district, travel there by metro, taxi or car, then explore within it. Parks and promenades
Consider the exterior and surrounding park at King Fahad Library for a quieter outing in Olaya. Access to the library interior is separate from an outdoor visit. At Sports Boulevard’s Promenade, use the walking trails and rest areas, keeping clear of designated cycling paths. Check weather and current access before setting off.
Heritage strolls
At Diriyah, follow the visitor paths inside At-Turaif and consider Bujairi Terrace as a separate food stop if your access pass allows it. Check entry requirements and restaurant reservations first. For an old Riyadh market wander, choose Souq Al Zal and explore the shop lanes; individual shop hours can vary.
Architecture walks
KAFD is an option for exploring the architecture around Al Wadi with a café break. Choose the pedestrian spaces you want to visit before setting out. Use the official district visitor guide to help identify access points and parking, rather than assuming the nearest road pin is the right entrance.
Make the arrival part easy
In the planner, choose a walking place to read its arrival note. If coming by metro, check the walking route from the station exit.
